Cabo San Lucas is a city located at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula which has not only beautiful desert landscapes & beaches, it is also known worldwide for being one of the most popular vacation destinations, the Marlin Capital and home of The Arch, also called "Land’s End", where the Sea of Cortez & the Pacific Ocean meet.
It is hard to believe, that at the beginning, Cabo San Lucas was nothing more than a fishing village with a few settlers from colonization time. Cabo San Lucas started developing as it is rich in marine life and very isolated, which made it the favorite destination of fishermen looking for the largest fish & celebrities trying to stay away from the limelight. Nowadays, Cabo San Lucas has some of the most luxurious resorts, world-class Marina and the biggest fishing tournament in the world. It is not only popular with celebrities but with thousands of people from all over the world who can enjoy the nightlife, best deep-sea fishing in the world and a wide variety of activities. Also, there are 2 towns, Cabo San Lucas (popular tourist area) & San Jose del Cabo (quiet small town). These are 2 very different areas which could be a deciding factor on which location you choose. In regards to the beaches, Cabo is not known for swimmable beaches due to its strong currents.

Suspension Bridge:
This special bridge moves with every step you take, so have fun dancing and jumping around while you cross it, just remember to shake it! It is one of the funniest parts of the tour and it will have you laughing all the way.
Rappel:
This is where you can feel like a pro, you've probably seen this in action movies; so now is the time to do it. You will descend 180 Feet, or 60 meters through a rope on a natural mountain wall using a "figure 8 safety device", you will be in complete control of the descent but there will always be two instructors helping you along the way, they will be in charge of your safety at all times, this is a very rewarding and fun part of this tour, afterwards you can say with pride: "I did it!". It is worth mentioning that although Rappel is a part of the tour, it can be skipped if you like to.
Tarzan Swing for Kids Only
The Tarzan Swing is a free jump from a high platform (32.8 ft) with a big pendulum-like swing, the longitude of the swing is 98.42 ft, lasts for about 25 seconds and it is only suitable for children between 7 and 12 years old. As it is a free style jump, the children are free to choose the position of their hands, they can do it by holding the rope or if they feel more adventurous, they can let their arms go!

Itinerary (7 hours)
This is probably the best well-kept secret in Cabo. Just an hour from the coast there is a true oasis in the middle of the desert. Let us take you there on a scenic and informative walk. You will learn the names of the plants and insects living in this rare climate while hiking on rocks of different shapes, sizes, and colors. The reward of this challenging uphill trail is finding a river along the way as well as freshwater pools, water slides and a larger pool nested at the base of a waterfall. You will be glad to be wearing your bathing suit to jump in for a good swim, and easily dry off while walking back to the van. We will then have lunch at a local restaurant serving authentic Mexican food. Afterward, you will be ready to relax and enjoy the view of the desert on the return trip to your hotel.

In our, tour gets picked up directly in the Lobby of your Hotel or Condo. Your professional and certified tour guide starts your adventure with a visit to the Cabo San Lucas Main Square (Zocalo), you visit the Mission where your guide fills you in on the past of Los Cabos, Pericú Indians, and Missionaries that came to our region. You get time to explore this picturesque place on your own for 30 minutes, in our tour live the typical Mexican small-town Main Square Ambiance, sweets stores, fruity waters, restaurants, and plenty of local people enjoying the Main Square. Your guide also takes you to a local Jewelry Store for some information on jewelry local art.
Now it’s time to head over to a beautiful Glass Blowing factory, an art that is hundreds of years old. Watch a demonstration on how it's done and if you want you can give it a try yourself and see how good your lungs are. The place is full of Glass Blowing stunning Art and walking through it makes you fall in love with one or more pieces. Followed by a tequila tasting that helps you to explore the Mexican world-famous and many awards winning beverage, the Tequila. Try several types and ages of tequila and get a detailed description of how the Tequila was done old style.
The next stop is the Los Cabos Arch and Lands End, hop on board Los Cabo's world-famous Glass Bottom Boat for a 45-minute adventure to explore Los Cabos Main Attraction and a must-see while in Los Cabos. Pelican Rock is your first highlight were through the Glass Bottom of the Boat you are able to see beautiful and colorful Tropical Fish and other Sea Life of the Sea of Cortes. Lovers Beach, the window to the Pacific Ocean, Neptune’s Finger, the Sea Lions Colony, and the Los Cabos Arch are further highlights and fantastic places for Spectacular Photos. Itinerary (10 hours)
In La Paz Tour we start early in the morning taking the east highway road that goes from San Jose del Cabo to La Paz. In the beginning part of this tour, we pass by a few towns (not mentioned here) while heading to the east side coast, where Buena Vista and Los Barriles are. At this point, the road actually will meet the Sea of Cortez for the first time.
While the beautiful views of the gulf and the desert landscapes are seeing during a period of time, our journey slowly returns inland up to the lower part of the sierra mountains, where San Bartolo's mining towns: El Triunfo and San Antonio are located.
Once we visit the many attractions of the beautiful city of La Paz we will see some of its beautiful and crystal clear beaches, walk on its gorgeous Malecon, have some free time to shop for arts, crafts, and souvenirs. Then we will go to the fascinating mission of Nuestra Señora del Pilar y we will appreciate the artistic architectonical detail used in this building. Next, we will visit the Anthropology and History Museum of La Paz where we will learn the history of Baja California Sur through fossils, paintings, and other types of antiques. Finally, we'll have an exquisite lunch close to the bay in a Mexican restaurant. Then we will be ready to go back.
Using the Pacific side highway on this occasion for our return, we prepare to head on to our next and last stop at Todos Santos. Since Todos Santos is located 50 miles away from La Paz, you'll have the chance to enjoy the views of "the precious nap after lunch".
After getting a quick but nice stop at the famous "Hotel California" or any other place you'd like here at Todos Santos, the final ride of our tour begins. This last part happens to be quite special, considering the gorgeous sunset views usually seen at the Pacific Ocean side during the afternoon.

I found a few more options for you as well as additional room categories. Just like before, I have listed the resorts along with a little explanation.
1) Riu Santa Fe: Again, I've included it below with the new rates.
2) Royal Solaris: This resort is located in San Jose del Cabo & about an 8 minute drive to the downtown area. This resort DOES include a little waterpark but I hesitate to include it as it doesn't have the most solid reviews but I just wanted to give you your options. Also, just want you to be aware that although it is an all-inclusive, room service may be an extra fee as with other value resorts.
3) Krystal Grand Los Cabos: This resort is located in San Jose del Cabo as well. I feel this is another good option; however, what they have in regards to waterslides is small but thought to show you anyways, just in case. This Resort allows to book actual Bed Types.
4) Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: This is right next to the Santa Fe & you would be able to get use of the waterpark. I wanted to include it here so you at least had an idea of the rates & the resort itself as it is a nice property.
5) Hard Rock Los Cabos: This resort is much higher in rate but I thought to include this as it has a waterpark & again, wanted to give you all your options.

I created your options based on the Delta flights just to give you an idea of the total cost per person with roundtrip flights, 4 nights all-inclusive accommodations, & private transfers. We can look at it with cheaper return flights (if possible) but this will give you an estimate of budget. After deciding which accommodations you would like, we will see if it would be better to book the flights separate.
These rates are based on 4 nights accommodations so we can always decrease or increase by a day if you would like to match your budget expectations or upgrade your accommodations.
A quick summary regarding your options below:
1) Riu Santa Fe: This option can be a solid choice but I just want to let you know that it is scheduled to be renovated starting in August. This does give me pause as it is showing available for your dates but many times they can cancel bookings last minute & I'm not sure where or if they will accommodate your group. With that said, this resort is located walking distance from the swimmable part of Medano Beach & does have a waterpark that the kids can enjoy. However, it is closer to Cabo San Lucas which I know you said that you didn't need to be close to & It is dated, thus the scheduled renovation. There are other Riu's in Cabo that are about $200 more per person that will give you access to the other Riu locations. There are a total of 3 Riu's in Cabo with one being adult only.
2) Royal Decameron Los Cabos: This resort is located closer to San Jose del Cabo & closer to the airport. It is a boutique resort so definitely on the smaller side & has fewer dining options but food quality is better then other resorts at this price point. 3) Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos: This resort is located near Cabo San Lucas & has a swimmable beach. Another perk is that you will have exchange privileges with its sister resorts; Pueblo Bonito Rose (next door) & Pueblo Bonito Sunset (near San Jose del Cabo, access with shuttle service) This is an older resort with the traditional Mexican feel. A much quieter resort.
4) Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos: This resort is about a 20 minute walk to Downtown Cabo. It is a beautiful resort built on a cliff but is an older resort so rooms are basic. Swimmable beach is walking distance. This is a solid choice in regards to food, accommodations & overall resort feel.
