- The first hotel under each location is included in this rate. Each option after that will show how much extra it is if you would rather choose that option.
- (some rooms include breakfast. if it doesn't, it may be possible to add if you wish for additional cost)
Remember: JR Pass is not included in this quote
One thing to note is the JR Pass will give you access to about 95% of the areas but there may be some times that you may have to pay for additional transportation whether it is on a different line, metro, bus, etc. which will usually come out to about $2-$5 on average per person. Sometimes this can be avoided with a longer walk to a different station and/or a route that isn't as direct.
I suggest getting the Japan Travel Navitime app as you are able to search routes by filtering by JR Lines. They have a free version that's pretty good.
Also, I did not include the Private Airport Transfer in Tokyo as I wasn't sure if you guys just wanted to take the train. However, your JR Pass will be expired at that point so you will have to pay for that separately. It will still be cheaper then a Transfer but you will have your luggage so let me know if you'd like me to add the transfer.

Osaka is known as the "Kitchen of Japan" so of the obvious food (sushi, ramen, etc.) that you should eat while there, Japanese Wagyu Beef from Kobe is also one not to be missed. There are plenty of Yakiniku restaurants to enjoy this amazing beef & with Kobe being so close by, it is truly fresh Other places to see is the Cup o Noodle Museum (you can make your own custom recipe) & Mt, Koya.
For Osaka, I'm giving you 2 choices but I highly suggest Cross Hotel Osaka because of its location. However, I've included Hotel Granvia Osaka for 2 reasons, it is less cost & it is located right at the Osaka train station but please know that it is outside of the main city. Cross Hotel has you right in the heart of Dotonbori.
Near a metro station, Cross Hotel Osaka is in Shinsaibashi, a walkable area in Osaka. The famous Dotonbori Glico Sign is a 2 minute walk. This hotel is located near public transport however they are not covered by the JR Pass. For example, coming from the airport, you will be able to take the train to Osaka with your JR Pass but you will have to transfer to a different line that will be about $2-$3 per person to get to the exit that is about a 5 minute walk to your hotel. Depending on the areas you want to go to, there are options to walk a little farther (about 15 minute walk) to be able to use transportation covered by JR Pass. But this hotel has you right in the heart of the city.

In this area, you will experience more of the older culture of Japan. It is also a good hub for exploring other areas such as Hiroshima & Nara.
THE GATE HOTEL KYOTO TAKASEGAWA by HULIC is located in Central Kyoto, a neighborhood in Kyoto, and is near a metro station. Kawaramachi Street & Nishiki Market are about a 6 minute walk. To get to Kyoto Station the most direct route would be a 6min walk to the bus which will be a 15 minute ride for about 230 yen pp (about $2). There is another option to take the Keihan line (possibility to purchase a 2 day pass) to a JR Pass line.
Essential Double Room w/ Continental Breakfast

Kyoto Granbell Hotel is located in Gion, a neighborhood in Kyoto, and is in the entertainment district and near a metro station. Kawaramachi Street is about a 6min walk & Nishiki Market about 9min. Just like the previous hotel, to get to Kyoto Station the most direct route would be a 6min walk to the bus which will be a 15 minute ride for about 230 yen pp (about $2). There is another option to take the Keihan line (possibility to purchase a 2 day pass) to a JR Pass line. I do want to mention that the rooms are smaller in this hotel but wanted to give you this option in case you wanted to be in the Gion area. Also, it does have a public Onsen.

Dhawa Yura Kyoto is located in Higashiyama Ward, a neighborhood in Kyoto, and is near a metro station. Kawaramachi Street & Nishiki Market are about a 12 minute walk. Just like the other hotels, to get to Kyoto Station the most direct route would be with a bus but it is a 2min walk to the bus which will be a 19 minute ride for about 230 yen pp (about $2).

- For this excursion, you will use your JR Pass to go from Kyoto to Hiroshima
- then your guide will meet you at the Station.
Tokyo has so much to do that I can't possibly present all your options but you guys will definitely have a lot of options to fill your time 🙂
Tokyu Stay Shibuya Shin-minamiguchi is located in Shibuya, a neighborhood in Tokyo, and is in a shopping district and near a metro station. Shibuya Crossing is about an 11min walk & the south exit of Shibuya Station is about a 2min walk. This is a value hotel so they do not provide room cleaning for stays less then 7nts but do replenish towels, toilet paper, etc. when requested.
Superior Queen Room w/ Breakfast

HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel is located in Shinjuku, a neighborhood in Tokyo, and is in the entertainment district and near a metro station. About a 5-10 minute walk to Shinjuku Station depending on which entrance you need to go to. This hotel is new in that it just had it's official grand opening this week so It is pricing well right now. A lot of the soft opening reviews have been very positive. It is located in the new Kabukicho Tower which encompasses a theater, food court, escape room & much more so if you guys want something more quiet then this might not be the one. It is located in Shinjuku which has much nightlife.
Deluxe King (additional $148pp)
Premier King (additional $211pp)
Premier is bigger & has a bathtub.

- For this excursion, you will not use your JR Pass because the tours that were in the area were about the same cost or more so it didn't make sense for you guys to have to worry about getting there.
- Please note that this is a group tour so there can be up to 45 travelers & in order to fit all the activities, it may feel a little rushed.
- Your quote includes:
Roundtrip Flights
-
Rail (depending on option chosen)
note: regarding JR Pass, the cost is increasing so if you choose the option with the guided tour, I will make sure to confirm the cost
Accommodations
Excursion (# determined on option chosen)
Rates are subject to availability & can change at time of booking
- There are 2 options below to give you an idea of cost & what you are getting.
- The first option is a tour which hits the major spots & gives you some meals & excursions. I felt this might be a good option because it is pretty inclusive of everything & you guys wouldn't have to figure out how to get around with the Rail System. This could give you the peace of mind of not having to figure out that part. Also, with the tour option, I would be able to provide the rail since it is part of the package.
- For the 2nd option, this one is truly independent where I would put together your itinerary (flights, accommodations, excursions) but because it wouldn't be a "package", I would not be able to get your rail. If you choose this option, I will be able to advise but I cannot book the rail for you guys. Also, there would be no guidance in using the rail system while there; however, I can arrange for a "Meet & Greet" at the airport that will help you guys & answer any questions.
Details in each tab below.

- This tour is 9 days/8 nights and includes 3 Breakfasts & 2 Dinners; however I added (2) pre & (3) post days in Osaka & Tokyo. So actual dates would be November 12-26, 2023
- It is a small group tour with about a maximum of 18 travelers.
- With this option, we could add additional excursions in Osaka & Tokyo if you wish
- $5805 per person
- includes:
- Roundtrip Flights
- 13nts accommodations
- Transportation
- Excursions within the tour
- some meals
- This option is 15 days/14 nights
- You guys would fly into Osaka & fly out of Tokyo your accommodations would be as follows:
- Osaka for 3nts
- Kyoto for 5nts
- Tokyo for 6nts
- *we can change the # of nights within each location based on what you guys want to do.
- $5677 per person
- includes:
- Roundtrip Flights
- 14nts accommodations
- Meet & Greet
- 3-4 Excursions*
- *this is dependent on what you choose
- Since this option doesn't include rail, the quote can be deceiving. If you choose this option, we can possibly work the itinerary so that you can get the JR Pass for 7 days instead of 14 days if it makes sense. With the 14 day pass & hopefully getting it before the price increase, the cost is easily $6072pp.
- If you guys end up choosing this option, I will give you choices of accommodations in each location which can greatly affect the final cost. This quote is an estimate based on the average cost of recommended accommodations & some excursions
- I included a variety of Excursion options just to give you guys an idea of what you can put together. Also, it'll give me an idea of your interests. These excursions are just examples so once you let me know what interests you then I can get more concrete options & cost. Also, depending on what you decide for rail we can work your excursions around it so that we make sure to use it wisely.
Give me a call or schedule a time if you have any questions.
